Fishing Canoes

Fishing from canoes has increased greatly in popularity in recent times and canoes are a great option for the enthusiastic fisherman. They have more room for crew and cargo, as well as a greater carrying capacity than most kayaks.

Fit your canoe with a motor bracket for a "motor boat", and add an outrigger kit for extra stability when standing up to cast.

Putting your canoe on top of a car will get you onto the water faster, as you won't have to line up at the boat ramp or need to look for a long parking space to take your car and trailer.

Whilst fishing rod holders and other accessories like motor brackets and outrigger kits, can be adapted to most canoes, some canoes are available "off-the-shelf" with fishing kits already fitted. This gives you the option of purchasing a bare canoe and fitting it out to your preferred fishing requirements, or purchasing a canoe with the fishing extras already fitted.
